Boothroyd Announces Programme For 25th DFMA

Boothroyd Dewhurst will host the 25th annual International Forum on Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) on 14-16 June 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Warwick, Rhode Island, US. The forum, 'Turning Point: Preparing for a New Manufacturing Future', will feature speakers presenting their successes using early design-analysis software and methods to unlock savings, foster innovation and improve product performance.

DFMA has on average helped companies cut total product costs by 50 per cent across the 25 years since the forum began. From labour (42 per cent), to part count (54 per cent), to assembly time (60 per cent), to product-development lifecycle time (45 per cent), DFMA has served as a foundation for savings and for design and manufacturing excellence. Manufacturing companies on the list of presenters include: aerospace heavyweights Boeing, Pratt and Whitney, and Bell Helicopter; and consumer electronics leader Motorola.
