GPEG Launches TFT Displays With Anti-Glare Film

GPEG has announced that its latest TFT display is an ideal replacement for traditional 'dial type' needle instruments. The TFT uses the latest wide-viewing-angle technologies together with an anti-glare film to ensure that the unit is easily read from all viewing directions. The active area of the display is equivalent to the popular dial diameter of 58mm and is contained within overall compact dimensions of 75.0 x 75.0 x 7.6mm.

With a surface brightness of 1,000cd/m2 and a high contrast ratio of 400:1 the display is said to be easily read in the majority of lighting conditions, including bright sunlight. The resolution of 240 x 240 dots and pixel pitch of 0.24mm ensures that the on-screen graphics are of high quality. The module is designed to operate from -40C to +85C and will easily interface to popular 16-bit microprocessors. The TFT display is said to be ideal for applications in instrumentation, automotive and industrial equipment.
