Laird Launches Internal Wireless Device Antenna

Laird Technologies has released the Maxblade internal wireless device antenna, which operates in the 2.3-6GHz Wimax frequency band with gains of 2.1dBi and 4dBi. Specifically designed to be embedded inside devices for aesthetically pleasing integration with high durability, the antenna features wide bandwidth that augments wireless applications with a single antenna design including 802.11 a/b/g, 802.16, and Bluetooth.

Its polarisation provides a vertical and omnidirectional radiation pattern at all frequencies with increased gain in the upper bands for optimal coverage. The antenna is RoHS compliant and includes a coaxial cable pigtail with various connector choices.
