Switchcraft Releases Locking Power Jacks And Plugs

Switchcraft has added sealed locking power jacks and plugs to its range of DC connectors. Watertight to IP68 and with a 5A current rating, this range provides chassis-mount power jacks with straight solder, straight PC and right-angle PC terminals, all with 2.1 and 2.5mm centre pins.

Mating cord plugs have threaded lock rings for added security and can be supplied with three different sizes of cable entry, from 3.2 up to 5.1mm. An optional rubber cap for the jacks maintains the IP68 rating when the connectors are unmated. For added convenience, Switchcraft can supply moulded-cable assemblies terminated with the new sealed power plugs.
