EOS To Show Direct Metal Laser-Sintering Systems

EOS will exhibit a collection of direct metal laser-sintering (DMLS) systems at the PDx/Amerimold Expo on 11-13 May in Cincinnati, Ohio. Morris Technologies (MTI), EOS's e-manufacturing partner, will begin the show by hosting a tour at the nearby MTI plant on 11 May from 09:00 to 12:00. EOS will also demonstrate a working EOSINT M 270 DMLS machine and exhibit laser-sintered parts in Booth 319. MTI was the first US company to install DMLS equipment in 2003.

Now, MTI and its sister company, Rapid Quality Manufacturing (RQM), have nine DMLS systems, including the first North American EOSINT M 270 extended system for processing titanium (Ti64), a nickel super alloy (Nickelalloy IN718) and an aluminium alloy (AlSi10Mg). Other laser-sintered metals available from MTI include maraging and stainless steels, a bronze alloy and cobalt chrome. At PDx/Amerimold, MTI will be found in Booth 419, where it will be joined by RQM and Microtek Finishing, North America's exclusive provider of the Micro Machining Process (MMP) for high-precision surface finishing. The MMP finishing technology was developed by Swiss company Bestinclass.
