American Portwell Releases Embedded System Board

American Portwell Technology has released a 3.5in (8.9cm) compact embedded system board that includes the same features gained from Intel second-generation single- and dual-core Atom processors. The 5.75 x 4in (146 x 105mm) PEB-2780VG2A embedded system board is suitable for a range of applications, including medical devices, industrial automation and handheld gaming, home entertainment, network devices, high-end vending machines and in-vehicle infotainment, as well as non-security-based applications such as VPN, network monitoring and gateway.

Based on the Intel Atom N450 (single-core) and D510 (dual-core) processors with an Intel 82801HM input/output controller, the PEB-2780VG2A supports DDR2 667 non-ECC system memory up to 2Gb, dual display via VGA and LVDS, dual Gigabit Ethernet, onboard 12VDC input, two SATA interfaces, one 44-pin IDE connector, a Type II Compact Flash socket, six USB ports, four serial ports and GPIO. Expansion capabilities include a connector with PCI-E x1 signal for a daughter board.
