Visitor Center Makes Use Of E-Save Technology

Power Efficiency and Kone have announced that Kone has installed its Ecostart, which incorporates Power Efficiency's E-Save technology, on escalators at the US Capitol Visitor Center. The US Capitol Visitor Center is the latest addition to the Capitol complex. At almost 580,000ft2, the Visitor Center is the largest project in the complex and is approximately three-quarters of the size of the complex itself.

The Kone Ecostart controller is designed to improve the efficiency of an escalator's electric motor, typically by 20-35 per cent. The Ecostart incorporates Power Efficiency's E-Save technology and is manufactured by Power Efficiency for Kone. Power Efficiency will also be displaying E-Save technology at the US Capitol Earth Day energy and environmental showcase. This will take place on Earth Day, Thursday, 22 April, from 9am-3pm, in the Hart Senate Office Building, room 216, in the Capitol complex.
