Rehm Showcases Fast-Firing Systems At Photon 2010

Rehm Thermal Systems is to showcase its capabilities for solar cell metallisation at Photon Expo, being held on 27-29 April in Stuttgart, Germany. The company will highlight its recently updated line of fast-firing systems and drying ovens. A complete line up of thermal solutions for metallisation now includes the RFS Firing System and RFS-D combination Drying and Firing System in addition to the model RDS series dryers. All feature low energy consumption and a compact footprint.

Rehm Fast Fire systems are claimed to offer a range of design features that enable new levels of metallisation process performance. High throughput rates (for example, transport speeds up to 6m/min and multiple lanes) maximise productivity. Flexible transport systems enable single-, dual- and triple-lane handling of wafers. An integrated residue management system maintains a clean process chamber and extends maintenance intervals. The systems offer superlative profile control and process monitoring including reference products for baseline profiling.

Rehm Visu2 software includes traceability tools, remote diagnostics and an extensive product library. Gas management improves thermal transfer efficiency without using supplemental heaters. This reduces energy consumption and increases system insulation, all contributing to improved COO. Separate heating and cooling zone transports improve the cooling gradient and shorten the necessary cooling zone length.
