Reclassifying Mufflers Reduce Noise And Oil Mist

Exair's Reclassifying Mufflers can be installed directly into the exhaust port of cylinders, valves and other air-powered equipment to reduce work-area noise and harmful oil mist. They are easy to retrofit to new and existing installations. Reclassifying Mufflers provide a noise reduction up to 35dBA to help companies meet the EU noise directive (86/188/EEC), which requires safe noise levels below 90dBA.

The patented wrap design of the removable element eliminates oil-mist contamination of worker's breathing-air, keeping exposure well below the 4.32ppm required by safety standards. It also eliminates harmful open dead-end pressures. Each Reclassifying Muffler has a high-airflow capacity to minimise back-pressure restriction so as not to interfere with the operation of the cylinder, valve or other air-powered device.

A reservoir for oil to accumulate at the bottom can be drained by attaching a tube. The mufflers are available in sizes from 1/8in (3.175mm) to 1in (25.4mm) NPT.
