Profile System Provides Workspace Environments

The Minitec Office Cube combines Minitec's Profile System in 2.5m3 work area modules, complete with glass or panelled walls, sliding doors, power supply, carpets, desks and cabinet storage. The flexible design can accommodate single cubes for individual workspaces or combined cubes for multi-user environments including double height units. Roller wheels are available to allow free movement of the Office Cube to create adaptable office environments.

The standard clear anodised profile may be replaced with a colour finish and the design includes a noise-insulating roof with automatic opening for ventilation. Minitec's Profile System range allows complete customisation for individual requirements such as motorised desk height adjustment, computer racking systems for server rooms or underfloor lighting. The range is backed by a choice of hard copy or PDF catalogues and an online e-catalogue with web-based Icad interactive software that allows customers to view, examine and download 2D or 3D CAD files for each component.

Minitec offers its own design service, but for those that wish to produce their own products, the Minitec Cadmenu software for Autocad and around 50 other CAD systems is available free of charge. Combining graphical displays of system components with itemised category lists and indexed sections for all Minitec machine building components, the software can generate complete parts lists for simplified ordering.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
