Enovia V6 Software Supports Apparel Development

VF, a specialist in branded lifestyle apparel, has selected Dassault Systems' (DS's) Enovia V6 product lifecycle management (PLM) solution as its platform for apparel development and sourcing. Enovia V6 will provide VF with an online collaboration environment to harmonise all product communities globally. VF sought a solution that would enhance collaboration while accommodating its diverse product portfolio, global presence and growth plans. The configurable software is said to provide the flexibility to support VF's multi-brand portfolio.

Enovia V6 will enable VF to reduce the number of manual and disparate processes currently used to manage data; collaborate on projects to better support the speed and scalability of innovation; and reduce direct material costs and development times through strategic collaboration with suppliers and vendors.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
