Elesa Offers Castors For General Public Utilities

Elesa's RE.C7 castor range incorporates grey anti-marking vulcanised rubber tyres, a thread guard, a dual race ball bearing bracket and a total lock option. This new range of castors is likely to meet requirements for use in general public utilities, such as hospitals, offices and light industrial settings, even in domestic environments.

The RE.C7 is available as fixed, rotating bracket and rotating/total lock configurations and in wheel sizes of 50mm, 60mm and 80mm. The overall installation heights are 67mm, 83mm and 104mm. Fitting is by means of a four-hole plate or stud in M8 or M12 sizes, making the castor suitable for trolleys or furniture in the public arena, as well as for industrial equipment.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
