Brooks Offers S122/C122/F122 2In Pressure Gauges

Brooks Instrument has opened a new production line at its Hatfield headquarters for the recently acquired Celerity pressure-gauge product range. The pressure-gauge range includes pressure gauges, pressure switches and pressure transmitters. The Brooks S122/C122/F122 2in stainless-steel gauges were designed and developed for demanding high-purity applications. With an accuracy of one per cent of full scale, the gauges offer a reliable and efficient way of locally monitoring pressure.

This durable measuring device comes in a variety of process connections, pressure ranges and socket orientations. The Brooks IPS122 2in stainless-steel indicating pressure switches provide a high-purity precision pressure gauge and electronic switch, with an adjustable pressure-switch setpoint. This compact unit can operate lights or relays up to a maximum of 12W. Available in a variety of pressure ranges and process connections, this device provides solid-state switching for cleanroom and hazardous applications.

With a variety of available outputs, the Brooks IPT122 2in stainless-steel indicating pressure transmitters (IPT) are very versatile devices. Accurate to within one per cent of full scale, the IPT122 can provide 0 to 5V DC, 1 to 5V DC or 4 to 20mA outputs, with pressure ranges up to 4,000psi. All of these products are cleaned for oxygen service to ANSI B40.1 level IV specifications.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
