Hertel Wins Maintenance Contract At Ensus Refinery

Hertel will provide maintenance services for the next 12 months for Ensus's wheat refinery at Wilton, Teesside. The contract covers a range of maintenance services, including insulation, scaffolding and painting as well as electrical and mechanical activities.

The refinery will use locally grown animal-feed wheat to produce more than 400 million litres of bioethanol, 350,000 tonnes of high-protein animal feed and 300,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide each year for use in soft drinks and food production. Power will be supplied by a combined heat-and-power plant, with surplus electricity used by other plants on the Wilton site.
