Abas To Showcase Business Software Developments

Abas Software will present the latest Abas Business Software developments at this year's Hannover Messe exhibition, which is due to be held in Germany on 19-23 April. According to the company, which will exhibit alongside its international software partners on Stand B56 in Hall 17, the focus will be placed on innovations in Abas information systems, customer relationship management (CRM), shipping and sales planning and comprehensive e-business applications. Abas information systems are navigation platforms that are designed to efficiently handle business processes. Processes can be created, managed and controlled from one screen, from quote to invoice. Abas Business Software is claimed to provide users with expanded CRM functionality. It is now possible to record, evaluate and process 'opportunities' in sales. A new 'opportunities overview' provides a complete overview of all sales projects at the click of a button. Tasks can be delegated directly from the screen and activity notes on customers and prospects can be created and classified. 

The look and feel of Abas web components has also been optimised and internationally applicable standards are now being used. There are also new standard applications available, such as service, scanner connection, a spare-parts catalogue, vendor connection, product valuation, the online exchange of business processes with vendors and the web EDI integration of vendors. Shipping planning in Abas Business Software has also been further developed. It is now possible to create mixed palettes, calculate packaging material and carry out packaging material plausibility checks. Abas Business Software projects sales forecasts based on historical values. Material planning then determines the resulting material requirement. Thanks to rolling planning, the preview in purchasing and sales is always up to date. New functions optimise search comfort in Abas Business Software, according to the company. Users are now supported by a structured or unstructured full text search and manifold sorting options when wanting to quickly find data. The Abas search engine is similar to established internet search engines and can be used immediately.
