Fike Develops Inline Gas Analyser Unit
Fike has developed an inline gas analyser unit for monitoring gas emission levels. Features include an integrated, calibrated pressure reducer that cannot be tampered with and an integral leak-tight pressure relief device. The unit is said to be virtually maintenance free and PED compliant with a compact, plug-and-play design. General chemical industries use gas analysers to monitor their gas emission levels.
Air-quality samples are compared to high-purity reference gases to analyse and measure emissions. A common practice is to 'calibrate' the sample air against clean, dry pure reference gases such as H2, He, Ar, or N2, where the pressures in gas analyses are typically 100barg and above. Operating at these elevated pressures, reliable protection mechanisms become crucial.
