Lee Products Develops Its Smallest Check Valve

Lee Products has brought out the miniature 093 check valve, which is all stainless steel and features a side exit. It measures just 2.5mm in diameter, weighs only 0.14g and is designed for system pressures up to 4,000psi. The valve is based on the same field-proven technology used for the Lee 0.187in (4.75mm) diameter side-exit check valve and is fully tested and inspected.

It offers a 90 per cent reduction in weight over the 187 version and is 50 per cent shorter. In addition, this results in a corresponding reduction in installation boss size and weight. It is available in a forward-flow configuration. The 093 valve is suited to a range of specialised engineering applications, specifically aerospace, down-hole oil tools, hi-tech automotive (such as Formula One), or wherever a consistent, reliable performance is required in ultra-miniature fluid-handling systems.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
