Elysium Releases PDQ Tool For Siemens NX Users

Elysium has announced the release of NXdoctor, a Product Data Quality (PDQ) validation/repair tool created for Siemens NX users. NXdoctor, a Siemens NX plug-in, validates and repairs 3D CAD data and can be customised by OEMs to create a single standard across their manufacturing supply chain.

Features include: PDQ validation of 27 critical check items and thresholds using Check-Mate; healing using the 'Full B-Rep Repair' (automatic healing of the whole model) or 'Repair with History' (PMI and attribute information is stored and only sections with PDQ errors are repaired) option; input and output Elysium Neutral File (ENF), allowing NXdoctor repair results to be used freely on CADdoctor or Asfalis.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
