Solway Gas Benefits from MUREX Gas Inspectors Training

Solway Gas, one of Scotland's leading distributors of Murex Welding products, is one of the latest companies to benefit from attendance at a Murex Gas Equipment Inspectors Training Course.  According to company spokesperson Marie Grierson, "The course was exceptionally well organised and extremely helpful."

Solway Gas decided to register for one of the Murex Courses at the company's Waltham Cross HQ in order to ensure key staff members were fully accredited Gas Inspectors and able to provide inspection services to Solway's local customer base in the Dumfries area.  "There is lots of potential for Gas Equipment Inspection Services in our area and with this accreditation we are now able to capitalise on this," continues Marie, whose son was on the course.   Murex Welding Products' City & Guilds Accredited Gas Equipment Inspectors training courses are designed for safety officers, maintenance staff, supervisors, technical college and school staff as well as anyone else responsible for the safety aspects of oxy-fuel gas systems.  The two day Certification Courses are conducted at the company's Waltham Cross HQ and give qualifications allowing individuals to conduct full safety checks on oxy-fuel gas welding systems.

The course includes theoretical instruction on oxy-fuel gas safety, the properties of gases, safe use and operation of systems.  Day two is devoted to practical training and "hands on" sessions teaching the candidates how to fully test an oxy-fuel gas station and pass it off for safe use. Recertification Courses are also available. There is no doubt that the course has benefitted our company enormously," concludes Marie and she extends a special thanks to those who organised the course and went out of their way to welcome Solway Gas to Waltham Cross.
