Laird Technologies Releases New WPC39S0B-001 Wideband/Lowband Land Mobile Radio VHF Antenna

Laird Technologies, Inc., a global leader in the design and supply of customized performance-critical components and systems for advanced electronics and wireless products, today announced the release of its new WPC39S0B-001 wideband/lowband VHF antenna.

Expanding Laird Technologies’ line of land mobile radio antennas, the WPC39S0B-001 is a public safety antenna designed to work at sustained high vehicle speeds and with a heavy-duty cycle (10 minutes @ 100W). It operates in the 39 to 46 MHz frequency band with 2 dBi gain. The antenna provides an omnidirectional pattern with vertical polarization, and possesses excellent return loss with no tuning required.

“Being the only type of antenna of its kind available on the market, the WPC39S0B-001 is a wide bandwidth antenna that provides interoperability for all lowband users,” said Rob Antonio, Laird Technologies Product Manager, LMR Antennas. “Additionally, it is able to operate while at high speeds and with a heavy duty cycle.”

Designed for public safety and state police agencies, the WPC39S0B-001 supports wide separation of XMT and RCV frequencies, and also supports more channel pairs.

As a global leader in the design and manufacture of antennas, Laird Technologies employs advanced, proprietary design tools to bring innovative designs to market with unmatched performance that adds value in every application, including industry-best antenna solutions for fixed and mobile clients, base stations, wireless backhaul, portable radios, telematics and many other applications.
