ITC Angles at Success with New Chamfer Tool

Close collaboration with customers has now seen ITC extend its range of 4071 Cyber Series chamfer tools to include new angles that meet the wide spectrum of end user applications. The versatile series now includes 60, 82 and 90 degree inclusive angles as standard to cater for the rapidly growing demands of the marketplace.

The four flute solid carbide chamfering tool is manufactured from an ultra tough micro grain substrate that gives the 4071 Cyber Series remarkable tool life and performance levels. The 4071 series is also available as a coated cutter to meet the needs of manufacturers with particularly difficult machining applications.

With four teeth in a staggered design, the 4071 enhances cutter performance and surface finish to deliver smooth cutting and long tool life on the hardest of materials.

The exciting new range is available in 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12mm diameters with all three angles available for each diameter. The overall length of the 4 and 5mm cutters is 50mm with the 6 and 8mm cutters being 64mm long and the 10 and 12mm diameter cutters having an overall length of 70 and 76mm respectively. With its world class manufacturing facility in Tamworth, ITC has the ability to produce special cutters with additional angles tailored to the exact needs of the end user. When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
