Z-Communications' VCO Is RoHS Compliant

Z-Communications has announced an RoHS-compliant voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) model, ZRO2460B1LF in S-band. The ZRO2460B1LF operates at 2,435-2,485MHz with a tuning voltage range of 1-10V DC. This VCO features a typical phase noise of -113dBc/Hz at 10KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 8MHz/V. The ZRO2460B1LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 6dBm at 8V DC supply, while drawing 30mA (typical) over a -40 to 85C range.

This VCO features typical second harmonic suppression of -15dBc and comes in Z-Comm's standard Mini-16-SM package, measuring 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.22in. It is available in tape-and-reel packaging for production requirements. The ZRO2460B1LF is also suitable for automated surface-mount assembly and reflow. It is suited for fixed-wireless and satellite communication applications that require ultra-low phase-noise performance.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
