ACL Introduces #8691 Mighty Mask

ACL, Inc. introduces #8691 Mighty Mask, a fast-curing, temporary masking agent for safeguarding components during conformal coating processes and component-free areas on PCBs during soldering.

A heat-resistant compound is added to the latex for short-term, high-temperature protection up to 510F. Will be tack-free in 20 minutes and completely cured in an hour.

Mighty Mask can be applied with a spatula or with the supplied squeeze bottle. This plastic-safe, peelable solder mask removes easily by hand or with tweezers without leaving contaminating or corrosive residues.

The formula does not contain substances on the REACH SvHC list or in the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
