Active-Semi expands support for USB Type-C, USB-PD and Qualcomm Quick Charge™ 2.0 applications with 7 new DC-DC power management ICs

Active-Semi, Inc. announced today further expansion of their high-power DC-DC power management IC portfolio with the ACT452x family of ICs to support USB Type-C, USB-PD and Qualcomm® Quick Charge™ 2.0/3.0 based end-products and applications. The ACT4525/26/27/28 and ACT4529 ICs offer single-IC solutions for up to 36W of maximum power and provide customers with proven turnkey solutions for reduced time to market. Reducing system footprint by as much as 40%, and with advanced integrated features for USB auto-detect and built-in QC 2.0 decoder these ICs offer the lowest cost solution. The ACT452x family of ICs can also work with additional load switch controllers to provide augmented functionality in end-products. Target applications include car chargers (CLAs), mobile and laptop applications, and peripherals that interface with these devices.
