TDK offers the 20 A iBH series point-of-load (POL) non-isolated DC-DC converters

TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the 20 A TDK-Lambda iBH series of POL non-isolated DC-DC converters. Accepting a wide range input of 3.5 VDC to 14 VDC, the series can operate from either a 5 VDC or 12 VDC bus.

The iBH series can provide output voltages from 0.7 V to 5.5 V with efficiencies of up to 96%. Capable of delivering up to 80 W, the converters can operate in high ambient temperature, low airflow environments with minimal power derating. The series is designed to meet a wide range of applications, including servers, routers and other information and communication technology (ICT) equipment, semiconductor-manufacturing equipment, measuring equipment, and general industrial equipment.

The surface-mount converters occupy 0.36 square inches of board space, measuring 0.8 in. x 0.45 in. x 0.39 in.(20.3 mm x 11.4 mm x 9.9 mm) with a weight of 6 g. As with all TDK-Lambda’s DOSA-compatible footprint POLs, the iBH does not need externally mounted loop-tuning components and has excellent transient response to load changes.

Product features include output trim adjustment, power good, remote sense, and a choice of positive or negative logic remote on/off. Full protection with auto-recovery is provided against input under-voltage, output short-circuit, and over-temperature. All models are certified to UL/CSA 60950-1, IEC/EN 60950-1 and carry the CE mark for the low voltage and RoHS2 directives.
