Bowers Metrology Offers Floor-Type Universal Hardness Tester for Industrial Environments

Bowers Metrology has introduced the heavy-duty Nemesis 9500 series, comprising three floor-type universal hardness testers with load-cell, closed-loop systems, designed to provide high accuracy in a wide range of fast testing procedures. According to Bowers, this large-capacity range is able to undertake Rockwell, Vickers and Brinell hardness tests, in addition to pure depth test methods such as H, HVT and HBT.

The Nemesis 9500 has heavy-duty motorised spindles and descending test heads that enable test pieces to be positioned and tests to be taken at the required working height. It features PC-driven automatic and manual indent measurement facilities, with automatic filing and storage functions, as well as refined algorithms, designed to take automatic measurements of materials generally considered less suitable for this procedure.
