Complete Computer on Credit-Card Sized Module – Lowest Cost in Its Class

Ka-Ro’s TRITON Star TX25 module is a complete computer, implemented on a board smaller than a credit card, ready to be designed into your embedded system. The TX25 includes a Freescale® i.MX 400MHz ARM9 processor, SDRAM and Flash memory. The integrated LCD-controller enables direct connection of an LCD screen. The TX25 is specifically targeted at embedded applications where size, a high performance CPU and cost are critical factors. The TX25 is the lowest cost module in its class – available now from Solid State Supplies for only £59.95 each. The system-on-module is just one part of Ka-Ro’s TX range which includes the TX27, TX28 and TX51 which incorporate different members of the Freescale i.MX family.

The modules are largely footprint compatible and offer easy migration of designs from one module to another. The TX range is suitable for industrial and industrial automation applications and the modules have an extended operating temperature range of -40 to +85°C. The DIMM200 module measures just 67.6 x 26 x 3.6mm with a standard TX-DIMM pinout. The i.MX257 400MHz ARM9 processor introduces several key new features such as 3.3V I/O support, three general-purpose 12-bit ADCs, a touch screen controller and integrated 128K SRAM to improve system performance or low-power LCD refresh. The TX25 is suitable for low-power and battery powered applications as it is compatible with 1-cell Li-Ion/Polymer (3.0V to 4.2V) batteries. The module can also run from a 5.0V USB supply or AC wall adapter.
