ARBOR Launches Intel Core i5/i7 CPU Based Board - EmCore-i55M0

ARBOR Technology has launched the latest 3.5" compact board - EmCORE-i55M0, powered by Intel PCH HM55 chipset, which supports Intel Core i5/i7 and Celeron processors. The great performance, compact size and graphic capability makes EmCORE-i55M0 ideal for embedded solutions.

EmCORE-i55M0 equips complete input/output interfaces and storage devices including 2 x SATA, 4 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x CFast socket, 4 x COM ports as well as 1 x 204-pin DDR3 SO-DIMM supporting SDRAM up to 4GB. With Intel Core series processors and the Turbo Boost technology, ARBOR 's EmCORE-i55M0 can automatically adjust to the best efficiency based on the system condition and manage system loading. Moreover, EmCORE-i55M0 also provides VGA with 2048x1536 resolution and dual channel 24-bit LVDS interfaces as well as one display port for dual independent displays.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
