Boeing Approves Petroferm Solvent for Manual or Immersion Cleaning

Petroferm has announced that Re-entry Prepsolv, a bio-based cleaning solvent, has been approved by Boeing in accordance with its BAC 5750 Solvent Cleaning Specification.

Formulated for manual or immersion cleaning, Re-entry Prepsolv is selected when a bio-based solvent with fast drying, solvency and low surface residue is required, the company claims. It also offers low volatility or vapour pressure, which helps to control evaporation, minimising solvent consumption and reducing volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions.
