SP Exhibits Freeze-Dryers And More At Interphex

SP Scientific is to exhibit its FTS and Virtis freeze-dryers and lyophilisation systems at Interphex 2010 in New York, US. The FTS Lyostar II has been designed to meet the needs of research-and-development scientists and process development engineers. The freeze-dryer is said to deliver process accuracy, reliability and ease-of-use.

Applications for the Lyostar II include process development for scale-up, product processing for stability studies, and formulations work. Available in stoppered and bulk configurations, the Lyostar II features RTD-controlled shelf temperature accuracy of +/- 0.5C or better and vacuum control within 0.1 per cent of set-point.

Its robust 5.5hp cascade refrigeration system enables shelf pull-down from ambient to -40C in less than 25 minutes, and the scroll compressors feature just three moving parts. Visitors to the SP Scientific stand will also be able to review and sign up to the company's programme of free Lyolearn educational webinars.
