Keil Supports Actel SmartFusion
Keil™ announce immediate support for the Actel Corporation's (NASDAQ:ACTL) SmartFusion™ intelligent mixed signal FPGAs. Keil now supports the SmartFusion family devices in the Keil MDK-ARM (Microcontroller Development Kit).
SmartFusion, the industry's first intelligent mixed signal FPGA, is the only device that integrates an FPGA, hard ARM® Cortex™M3-based microcontroller subsystem (MSS) and programmable analog, offering full customization, and ease-of-use. SmartFusion devices are ideal for hardware and embedded designers who require a true System-on-Chip (SoC) solution that gives more flexibility than traditional fixed-function microcontrollers, without the excessive cost of soft processor cores on traditional FPGAs.
The latest release of MDK-ARM supports the Cortex-M3 microcontroller sub-system on the SmartFusion devices and includes set-up files, device-specific views, and example projects. MDK features the industry-standard compiler from ARM, the Keil µVision4 IDE, the fully functional RTX RTOS, and sophisticated analysis tools. MDK provides a complete development environment for creating, debugging and verifying embedded applications.
