PCL's Valve Core Retracting Tool - First for Speed and Safety

Eliminate the risk of injury from "flying valve cores" with PCL's new retracting tool, which also helps operators work faster. Removing a valve core during inflation is common practice within the commercial vehicle industry as it enables faster tire inflation. However this practice is fraught with danger, with accidents whilst removing valves from tires is common, therefore it is not normally recommended.

PCL has overcome this problem with the Valve Core Retracting Tool, which is especially designed for the safe installation and removal of tire valve cores during inflation. The dual benefit of increased safety and vastly reduced inflation/deflation time makes PCL's tool an essential piece of kit for busy workshops.

The Valve Core Retracting Tool should be used in conjunction with a safe and reliable tire inflator such as: the robust and accurate MK3; the rapid, digital ACCURA 1; or the fast and simple AirForce dial unit.

Available with a lock-on tire valve connection, with an integral tailpiece, the Valve Core Retracting Tool features a clear body, allowing the operator to see when the valve core is fully retracted.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
