Onkyo Licenses CSR aptX® Audio Codec for New Audiophile Products

CSR plc (LSE: CSR; NASDAQ: CSRE) today announced that another name in audio excellence, Onkyo, has chosen the CSR aptX audio codec to deliver wireless audio over Bluetooth® with high fidelity sound quality. Onkyo has deployed CSR aptX initially in two products: its UBT-1 adapter and its CS-245BT “Colibrino” CD Hi-Fi Mini System.

The UBT-1 is a USB adapter allowing Bluetooth-enabled wireless phones, tablets, and other devices to stream music directly to networked receivers through a USB port, utilising CSR’s aptX technology to deliver high quality audio. Likewise, the new CS-245BT CD “Colibrino” Hi-Fi Mini-System, a high quality, compact personal audio system featuring Bluetooth audio connectivity, uses aptX to deliver superior wireless audio performance.

This announcement is further evidence of the rapid acceleration in the industry adoption of aptX. Other recent aptX milestones include deployments in products from Samsung, HTC and Beats – to name just a few. CSR aptX audio coding technology solves the problem of inferior Bluetooth audio quality, delivering improved, high-fidelity sound comparable to the CD quality consumers have come to expect from their electronic devices and home entertainment systems.

TURCK M8 CORDSETS WITH 100 PERCENT SHIELDING OPTION PROTECT AGAINST EMI/RFI

TURCK is now offering the option to completely shield M8 picofast ® cordsets by connecting a braided shield directly to the coupling nut.
