Audio Enhancement Solution from DTS Now Available on CSR Wireless Audio Platform

Highlighting the continuing success of its flagship wireless audio platform with embedded Kalimba DSP, CSR plc (LSE: CSR; NASDAQ: CSRE) today announced the availability of WOW HD™ sound enhancement technology on the CSR8670. The CSR8670 enables the design of a broad range of feature-rich home entertainment and wearable audio products – from wired and wireless sound bars and speaker systems, to Bluetooth® headphones and adapters. Bringing the well known and widely adopted WOW HD technology to CSR8670 based audio products enables consumers to enjoy a more immersive music experience with cleaner, livelier sound quality, purer spatial information, advanced bass enhancement and an innovative centre control feature.

The CSR8760 is the third CSR wireless audio platform to support WOW HD through CSR’s eXtension Partner Program. WOW HD improves the dynamic audio performance of compressed and uncompressed audio by expanding the size of the audio image and creating a deep, rich bass response. The patented techniques in WOW HD widen the horizontal sound field and raise the vertical sound image, retrieving information lost in the mixing process to create a more natural audio experience.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
