ILLUMRA's Lighting and Temperature Controls Honored in New York City's Green Technology Initiative

ILLUMRA, a leader in lighting control and energy management systems, announced selection by New York City's Municipal Entrepreneurial Testing System (METS). The pilot program includes two of ILLUMRA's products, the self-powered wireless occupancy sensor, and the M3 wireless steam valve control. The wireless products save energy, time and money and are designed to install in as little as 20 minutes with minimal disruption to building operations. The systems will be installed in various city buildings, where cost savings will be monitored and evaluated for wider deployment within the city.

"We're excited to be chosen by the METS program and look forward to the opportunity to show how our wireless control products can save New York City both time and money," said Jan Finlinson, ILLUMRA CEO. "Our unique green technology can be retrofitted economically and easily in any government or commercial building."

METS is a NY city partnership of Speaker Christine C. Quinn, Council Member Michael Nelson, the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) and the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), to promote green technologies in city buildings.
