Grayhill Introduces New CAN-bus Keypads for Off-Highway Vehicles

The industry experts in cab controls, Grayhill, Inc. has introduced their newest vehicle user interface device, the 3K Series CAN-bus Keypads.

For easy vehicle integration, these keypads communicate on CAN-bus using CANopen or J1939 protocol. The 3K Keypad replaces rows of rocker and toggle switches with a single integrated electronic device. Further, its compact format and sealed design (IP67) make it ideal for off-highway vehicles where it will be exposed to weather, dirt and vibration.

The standard sizes available are 4x5, 3x5, 4x3, 4x2 and 2x4 key configurations. These configurations are available with standard keytop legends, although custom legends can be created to fit the needs of particular applications. The communication protocol enables real-time control of function indicator illumination and legend brightness.

Grayhill's CAN-bus Keypads are specified to perform in extreme temperatures where exposure to sunlight, driving rain and snow are common. Further, these keypads are built and tested to withstand the vibration and shock that is expected off-road.
