Vishay Intertechnology to Showcase Latest Leading Semiconductors and Passive Electronic Components at Techno-Frontier 2012 in Japan

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced that it will be exhibiting its latest semiconductors and passive electronic components in booth 6D-210 at Power System Japan, a focused exhibition on power systems at Techno-Frontier 2012, being held at the Tokyo Big Sight from July 11 to 13. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of its founding by Dr. Felix Zandman at the event, Vishay will demonstrate how its products are helping designers meet their specific requirements for saving space and improving efficiency in a wide range of applications.

Vishay’s line-up for Techno-Frontier 2012 includes:

Resistors: Vishay will be highlighting Power Metal Strip® resistors with high power density and high-temperature capabilities to + 275 °C for harsh environments, in addition to high-current Power Metal Strip shunts for power meter and battery management applications. Also on display will be stainless steel crowbar resistors optimized for wind turbines, and cylindrical thin film MELF resistors for automotive, industrial, and telecommunication applications.

Inductors: For voltage regulator module (VRM), dc-to-dc converter, and noise filtering applications in a wide range of end products, Vishay will be showcasing its largest SMD inductor, in addition to high-temperature, high-current through-hole devices.

Capacitors: Vishay’s MicroTan® solid tantalum chip capacitors will be on display, in addition to compact DC-link polypropylene film capacitors for mid-power electronics. For MRI diagnostic equipment, the company will be showcasing non-magnetic multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCC).

Diodes: Highlighted products will include rectifiers and transient voltage suppressors (TVS) for automotive applications, in addition to 45 V TMBS® Series rectifiers with extremely low forward voltage drops and low-profile packages for photovoltaic solar cell bypass protection.

MOSFETs: On display will be TrenchFET® Gen IV power MOSFETs, which offer half the on-resistance of previous-generation 20 V to 30 V devices. Also being highlighted is the E Series of power MOSFETs, which features 30 % lower on-resistance than other 600 V to 650 V devices.

Power ICs: For point-of-load applications, Vishay will feature high-efficiency synchronous buck regulators and microBUCK® regulators, while high-frequency, high-current DrMOS integrated power stages for voltage regulators (VRs) provide space saving in servers, desktop computers, graphics boards, and more.

Optoelectronics: Featured products will include surface-mount IR receivers for active eyewear used with 3DTV sets; the industry’s first remote control code learning IC to integrate signal detection and processing into one component; and a fully integrated proximity and ambient light optical sensor with the industry’s lowest height of 0.8 mm. Super thin ChipLEDs with exceptional brightness will be on display, in addition to the industry’s first CAT IV, high voltage isolation optocouplers available in surface-mount packages for solar wind and turbine installations.

TURCK M8 CORDSETS WITH 100 PERCENT SHIELDING OPTION PROTECT AGAINST EMI/RFI

TURCK is now offering the option to completely shield M8 picofast ® cordsets by connecting a braided shield directly to the coupling nut. This provides a cost-effective and reliable connection with 100 percent cable and connector shielding, which protects against electromagnetic and radio frequency interference.

The 3 and 4-pin cordsets are available with flexlife ® PVC or PUR jacketed cable. All connectors deliver IEC IP 67 protection.

The M8 picofast line, like most TURCK cordsets, provides male or female, straight and right angle connectors, standard and custom lengths, and pigtails or extensions. Fully encapsulated mating receptacles are also offered, completing the system.
