Hubbell Wiring Systems Introduces New Commercial Weatherproof Outlet Covers

Hubbell Wiring Systems is pleased to introduce a new line of weatherproof covers for use when reliable protection is required for outdoor receptacles. With a thick commercial die-cast aluminum construction, state-of-the-art gray power coat finish, and double spring self-closing lids, Hubbell’s new weatherproof covers provide maximum durability, scratch resistance, and weatherproof protection.

Ideal for commercial buildings, healthcare facilities and educational institutions, Hubbell’s new weatherproof covers are UL and CSA listed and NEMA 3R rated to ensure protection in outdoor applications against rain, sleet and snow, or indoors against dripping water. Quick and easy to install, the new weatherproof covers are device mount ready, and include drill points for box mounting applications. Each one comes with installation hardware, weatherproof gasket and detailed multi-lingual installation instructions.

Hubbell’s new weatherproof covers are available in duplex and simplex versions, as well as horizontal and vertical mounting options. The vertical-mount covers can also be padlocked for tamper-proof reliability.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
