The success story continues with the furtherdevelopment of the SK 500E series. The SK 500E series is a success story which results from the its special feature of performance adapted to the particular application. Now, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS presents the logical further development of this series: The new SK 540E. The development of the series does not concentrate on replacing traditional PMSM servo applications (permanent magnet synchronous motors) but rather places the emphasis on permanent magnet synchronous motors as energysaving motors for S1 applications.Where asynchronous motors are no longer adequate due to limitationsin their dynamic characteristics. NORD now offers a solution which is compatible with the SK 520E/ SK 530E, and uses permanent magnet synchronous motors for S1 applications. Here, the most important factors are:

    * New microcontroller platform with higher performance and larger memory.
    * "Open-Loop" and "Closed- Loop" operation of PM synchronous motors.
    * Integrated SPS functionality for the implementation of simple automation applications ortechnological functions.
    * Extra universal encoder interface for the connection of SSI, BiSS Interface, HIPERFACE or EnDAT 2. encoders.
