IEI Launches Advanced Fanless Embedded System for Versatile Environments

IEI Technology Corp. (IEI), the global industrial computing innovator, released an advanced fanless embedded system, the TANK-101B-D525/N455, which features either a dual-core Intel® Atom™ D525 processor or an Intel® Atom™ N455 processor. This advanced series is characterized by its COM port and CAN-bus with isolation protection, wide range DC power input from 9 V to 36 V, and dual GbE LAN making it ideal for high speed network applications. IEI’s dual-core Intel® Atom™ D525 processor series provides an increased processor speed of 1.8 GHz with no bump in power consumption and support for 800 MHz DDR3 memory.

The compact, fanless TANK-101B-D525/N455 is designed with functions and protections suited to the transportation industry. The TANK-101B-D525/N455 not only provides dual-core computing power with the Intel® Atom™ D525 processor, it also operates efficiently in severe environments with on-board memory, CompactFlash® and SATA DOM solid-state storage. Unlike typical single voltage power inputs at 24 V DC, the TANK-101B-D525/N455 offers a wide range of DC power inputs from 9 V to 36 V. It also includes a serial port and a CAN-bus connector with isolation protection for device control. Dual Realtek RTL8111E LAN ports and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi capability provide high speed network communications.

All IEI dual-core Intel® Atom™ D525 fanless embedded systems include IEI’s unique One Key Recovery software solution. The software eliminates the frustration of system recovery after an unexpected system failure. One Key Recovery easily creates a full system backup on demand and allows system recovery by restoring to a previously made backup with a single click.
