Axiomtek Introduces a New Hardened rBOX204 DIN-rail Fanless Embedded System with Four(4) PoE, Low-Power, Wide-Temp. Operation and Super Compact Form-Factor.

Axiomtek’s brand new rBOX204 DIN-rail fanless embedded system utilizes AMD’s low-power LX800 processor and is designed to withstand temperature ranging from -40°C to +70°C for applications in extremely cold or hot environment. The cost-effective rBOX204 supports four (4) Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) ports, which can power IEEE802.3af compliant powered devices (PD) and transmit data simultaneously; saving wiring costs and is suitable for outdoor applications such as IP video surveillance, APs, industrial controls, and intercoms. Multiple built-in serial ports, high-speed LANs and USB 2.0 ports enable fast and efficient data computation, communication and acquisition. The rBOX204 features SNMP V1/V2c support for secured network management. To streamline implementation of management applications, Axiomtek launched “AXView” monitoring software package for customers to build their own management systems easily and quickly.

"Axiomtek’s wide-temperature rBOX204 DIN-rail fanless embedded system with four (4) PoE ports is suitable for intelligent computing and communication solutions in critical environments, such as power plant automation, facility monitoring systems, and intelligent transportation systems. The robust DIN-rail fanless unit has a compact form factor, making it an ideal for both indoor and outdoor industrial environments where space is limited. The IP30-rated rBOX204 meets Safety Agency requirements and has passed heavy industrial EMI/EMS testing. This durable unit supports PoE on ports 1 to 4 and features a redundant Ethernet LAN connection for greater availability and reliability. Front accessible I/O cabling is convenient for wiring and maintenance. This intelligent fanless embedded system also comes with AXView software package for quick and easy startup”, said Eric Chiang, Product Manager of Product & Marketing Division at Axiomtek.

To fulfill different application needs, the rBOX204 comes with complete expandability, including two (2) COM ports, one(1) 10/100Mbps Ethernet with magnetic isolation protection, two(2) USB 2.0 ports, four(4) PoE (IEEE802.3af) ports, one(1) VGA output, and one(1) CompactFlash™ socket. In addition, it comes equipped with 48VDC power input with a terminal block. With the system already pre-installed with Linux, Windows® CE 6.0 or Windows® XP Embedded, the rBOX204 provides programmers with a friendly environment for developing application software at a lower cost. With AXView monitoring software included, it makes it easy for system administrators to manage and monitor remote computers. AXView also contains a variety of easy-to-use management utilities, agent services and libraries.

The robust yet cost-effective rBOX204 with intelligent AXView package will be available at the end of August 2011. If you’re looking for Intel® Atom-base solution, we have rBOX204 DIN-rail fanless embedded system supporting industrial-temperature grade Intel® Atom™ processor Z510PT (1.1 GHz) or Z520PT (1.33 GHz).
