Honeywell’s Integrated Automation Systems Used In $8 Million Contract

Honeywell announced that Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) and STX Offshore & Shipbuilding will use Honeywell's Integrated Automation Systems in five vessels commissioned by ship owners in Norway, Russia and the United States. The projects are valued at more than U.S.$8 million.

DSME, the world's second largest shipbuilder, and STX, the world's fourth largest shipbuilder, will use Honeywell's Integrated Automation Systems in vessels under construction for the transportation of liquid natural gas.

Honeywell's Integrated Automation Systems solution uses Honeywell's Experion® Process Knowledge System and will manage the machinery and cargo areas of the vessels, including the cargo emergency shutdown system. Honeywell's solution enables the project teams to better manage and control operations and ensure that the vessels comply with strict global standards.
