Silicon RFID Tag Provides Personnel Verification

GAO RFID's contactless UHF Gen 2 wristband silicon radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag is commonly used for applications where a small form factor and a long-range read capability are required. It is suitable for personnel verification in hospitals, nursing homes and other institutions such as schools, offices and sports centres. This tag is part of the company's UHF Gen 2 RFID Tags range of products.

This Gen 2 wristband RFID tag, model 116401, operates over a frequency range of 860-960MHz for both North America and Europe. It provides a tested read range of 5-12cm depending on the RFID reader. The device performs multi-detection and can be read from and written to. This compact tag has a memory capacity of 96 bits for data storage and is compliant with Gen 2 IMPINJ. In addition, this passive RFID tag is encapsulated with soft silicon material and is available in various colours.
