Spectra-Physics Introduces Regenerative Amplifier

Newport brand Spectra-Physics has introduced the Spitfire Ace, an ultrafast regenerative amplifier that is suitable for pumping multiple optical parametric amplifier systems. It is said to offer long-term performance and delivers average power of more than 5W at 1, 5 and 10kHz with good (M2 <1.3) beam quality. The amplifier is suitable for performing a range of ultrafast nonlinear spectroscopy science. The Spitfire Ace system is equipped with Xpert technology that is said to ensure maximum stability with guaranteed, reliable performance over hundreds of hours.

The Spitfire Ace is designed for use with Mai Tai seed laser and Empower pump laser platforms. The Empower 45 pump laser delivers more than 45W of average power at 5kHz and is equipped with the company's proprietary noise-reduction technology. Spectra-Physics said the Spitfire Ace performs optimally when seeded with the Mai Tai SP oscillator. The hands-free Mai Tai SP laser does not require alignment, cleaning or adjustments and its specifications are guaranteed over an extended 20C temperature range.
