Connector Crimp Module has 70A Current Rating

The new Han 70A crimp module is the latest addition to the Harting Han-Modular Series of heavy-duty connectors. Designed for use in applications presenting the toughest mechanical demands, the module is plug-compatible with the existing Han 70A axial screw module and allows the transmission of high power levels within a compact space. In a typical application, up to 12 power contacts rated at 70A and 1,000V can be implemented in a pluggable version in a Han 24 B connector configuration.

The unit can incorporate two power contacts per module and up to six modules per connector. It has a working voltage of 1,000V, combined with a conductor cross-section of 10 to 25mm. The use of crimp termination technology means that crimping tools already on hand can be used, although contacts can also be removed without tools. As an open connector system, the Han-Modular series is especially flexible and allows adaptation to users' individual requirements, so that users can put together their own combinations of connectors to satisfy the required configuration. The range currently includes 36 modules for electrical, optical and gaseous signals, with new modules continually being added.
