Surface-Cleaning Wipe Allows Substrate Preparation

Eurobond Adhesives has launched a heavy-duty surface-cleaning wipe for the preparation of substrate materials prior to printing, painting, coating or bonding. The wipe is said to promote adhesion and a high integrity bondline. Made of 64gsm heavy-duty low lint material, the surface wipes are impregnated with a blend of 70 per cent Isopropyl alcohol for fast 'flash off' and 30 per cent de-ionised water.

They are designed to clean any substrate material surface prior to painting, printing, coating or bonding with inks, adhesive or tape. They can also be used as a general cleaning wipe for cleaning finished units, tools, workstations and come in a flip-top pot containing 100 wipes. The empty plastic container can be rinsed out with water when empty and disposed of either in standard waste or plastic recycling.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
