Hot Melt Adhesives Target Green Technologies
Used in green technologies such as biodiesel production, Polyamide (PA) hot melt adhesives have better resistance to chemicals and temperature extremes than conventional hot melts, says Techsil. High-performance PAs can be used in areas where high temperature resistance is required and also where chemicals and oils are present. These products have a very high molten tack and good adhesion to many difficult-to-bond substrates.
PAs suit many production assembly applications such as air and oil filters, woodworking, textiles, packaging applications that require both high and low heat resistance, and new green technologies such as biodiesel production. Tecbond 7718 coloured, low-viscosity multipurpose is suitable for potting and encapsulation of electrical components. Also available is Tecbond 7784 high- and low-temperature multipurpose; and Tecbond 7785 high-temperature, chemical resistant.
