Pressure Transducer Offers High Accuracy

Ashcroft Instruments has introduced the Heise DXD, a pressure transducer designed to be accurate, stable and suitable for use in a wide range of critical processes, test panels and laboratories. Up to 99 addressable Heise DXD digital pressure transducers connect directly to a serial port on a PC using standard telephone wiring. According to Ashcroft, the Heise DXD is accurate up to 0.02 per cent FS.

It is available in RS232 or RS485 communication protocol, with pressure ranges from vacuum through to 10,000psi. The pressure transducer delivers serial port speeds up to 115Kbps and update rates of up to 15mS. It connects to a PC with a standard RJ-11 telephone or RJ-45 Ethernet cabling. A Labview driver and utility software is available. Ashcroft Instruments will be at booth 2157 at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, 2-5 May.
