MIG Welding Machines Target Auto Body Repairers
The MIG130T and MIG160T are designed for DIY/hobby enthusiasts and auto body repairers; and auto body repairers, repair and maintenance welders, and light sheet metal fabricators respectively. The 230V single-phase, DC (Direct Current) MIG welding machines are designed for fast, easy operation with four adjustable weld settings and are supplied complete with an integrated MIG torch and 2.5m hose, and a power cable fitted with three-pin, 13A plug and earth clamp.
They can be used to weld mild steel using 0.6 and 0.8mm-diameter standard MIG wire or 0.8mm-diameter flux-cored wire (without gas) on 5kg spools. The output-current and the wire-feed speeds are controlled using a potentiometer knob on the front panel, while heat settings are adjusted using two combination switches. Both include 0.6-0.8mm wire-feed rolls and reversible polarity for use with and without gas.
The MIG130T, which weighs 34kg, is rated 130A at 15 per cent duty cycle with a variable current range of 40-140A. The MIG160T is rated 160A at 10 per cent duty cycle with an adjustable current range of 40-160A. It is portable, weighing 36kg, and is supplied with a two-wheel under carriage.
