Gas Analyser Supplied in IP65 Weatherproof Housing

Cambridge Sensotec has introduced the Rapidox 2100W, a wall-mounted version of the Rapidox 2100 zirconia gas analyser. The new analyser is supplied in an IP65-rated weatherproof housing with a transparent polycarbonate hinged front cover. The controls can be accessed by opening the catch, and while closed the display can be read through the front window. The Rapidox 2100W can be mounted to a wall with the sensor positioned remotely up to 26m away.

The zirconia oxygen sensor can be located in a separate bespoke cabinet fitted with an external flow gauge, and internally there is room for a printer and auxiliary sensors. The Rapidox 2100W provides continuous online oxygen analysis over the full oxygen range (10-20ppm to 100 per cent O2). It offers a typical response time of less than four seconds for a 90 per cent response to a step change in gas compositions. The analyser features programmable alarm circuits, programmable analogue outputs, straightforward calibration (user-selectable gases), RS232 communications and complete communications.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
